Anyone who knows me knows that I am pretty obsessed with packaging. I will buy items strictly because of the packaging, be it beauty products, food, novelty items pretty much anything if it is nicely designed. If you want to excel your product and showcase the content a certain way to do that is to spend just as much effort on the packaging as you did on the product itself. Below are my recent food packaging favorites. These can all be found in the archives of the most amazing packaging blog. The Dieline

International Design Consultancy P&W has designed a new range of Kids’ cereals for Tesco’s fast-growing US chain Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market. The Fresh & Easy products are free of artificial colorings and flavors and contain less sugar than many of the mainstream brands.

The re-branding of Jell-o sought to recreate the classic feeling of joy the dessert had brought to previous generations without relying on nostalgia. The simple graphic fruit characters, bright color-palette and naive typography makes the brand feel playful and pop without veering into overtly saccharine or Saturday morning cartoon territory. Designed by Skinny Ships / Richard Perez.

This frozen line is just great, simple and modern and they use the freshest ingredients.

Pandora Bell is an artisan confectionery brand from the West of Ireland, their chocolates are of the highest quality and their packaging spares no expense. They use vintage packaging techniques and patterns but with a modern twist. Just divine.

These snacks sold in the UK have such a fun label and I just love the frosted packaging which also serves to preserve freshness and flavor.

Sugar packaging by Émilie Bertrand-Villemure. They look like “lady products” but are actually sugar spheres and each are enhanced with subtle and delicate fragrances.

Giving spices a face lift, and taking them out of the back of home cooks spice cupboard and bringing them into daily dishes. By giving them a graphic gesture and a modular box shape allow for very interesting geometrical configuration and the copy on the back of each box lists how to use each spice.

New work from The Engine Room: “Nature’s Agave Nectars are premium, certified organic, and made from 100% Weber Blue Agave – absolutely the highest quality agave nectar available. So delicious, and 30 – 40% sweeter than sugar, you use less therefore saving calories, while reducing sugar intake.” Now that sounds sweet to me.
